Think of a blockchain like a city’s road system.
There’s a main highway.
Strong, secure, and essential.
But when everyone uses it at the same time, traffic builds up.
That highway is Layer 1.
Then you have side streets and fast lanes.
They take part of the traffic, move faster, cost less,
and later reconnect to the main highway.
That’s Layer 2.
The goal isn’t to replace the highway.
It’s to keep it secure while making the whole system usable at scale.
No layers → congestion.
With layers → flow.
This is how blockchains move from theory to real-world adoption.
