What Is Succinct (PROVE)?

Succinct is a protocol built on Ethereum that enables a decentralized network of provers to generate zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) for any software. Its purpose is to make ZKP generation faster, more cost-efficient, and accessible without requiring users to operate their own proof infrastructure.

The protocol operates as a two-sided marketplace that connects proof requesters with provers. Requests are matched to provers using an off-chain auction system, with results settled through on-chain smart contracts. This structure supports a wide range of applications, including blockchain bridges, oracles, and verification of off-chain computations such as AI processes.

Succinct’s technology is based on a general-purpose zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM), which allows developers to write provable programs in familiar programming languages like Rust. This approach removes the need for specialized cryptographic expertise or custom hardware. The network can be used in areas such as cross-chain data verification, scaling rollups, verifiable computation, and light client implementations.

The native utility token of the protocol is PROVE, an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. It is used to pay for proof generation, stake for participation in prover auctions, delegate to provers to earn rewards, and take part in governance. Provers are required to stake PROVE to handle requests, with penalties applied for failure or faulty submissions. Governance is initially managed by a security council but will transition to on-chain voting by token holders over time.

Succinct was founded in 2022 in San Francisco by a team of researchers and engineers specializing in cryptography, systems design, and blockchain development. It is backed by investors including Paradigm and has been integrated into Ethereum layer 2 rollups, secure bridging systems, and light client frameworks. The PROVE token underpins the Succinct Prover Network by securing participation and incentivizing proof generation across decentralized infrastructure.

The protocol’s applications extend to blockchain scaling solutions, trustless cross-chain bridges, verifiable market data feeds, tamper-proof off-chain computation verification, and privacy-preserving systems, with potential uses beyond the crypto industry.

The total supply of PROVE is fixed at 1 billion tokens, with a circulating supply of 195M PROVE. PROVE is listed on Binance for trade and purchase. The current price of PROVE is updated and available in real-time on Binance.
