Fake token transfer transactions were detected on the Monad network just days after its launch.
November 2025: The Layer-1 blockchain Monad, which positions itself as the 'fastest EVM-compatible chain' (10,000+ TPS), faced massive fraud schemes immediately after the mainnet launch. Analysts from Arkham and Lookonchain recorded hundreds of fake token transactions $MON and meme coins in the ecosystem: fraudsters used the 'internal transactions' function to simulate large volume transfers from known wallets (including exchanges and influencers), triggering FOMO and subsequent rug pulls.
