Buterin said: "If executed properly, this would be a very good step. I hope the system is verifiable and reproducible," suggesting a system allowing audits of likes and anonymous posts with a time delay to prevent abuse.

Stressed that this verifiability would allow users who feel they've been silently banned or had their visibility reduced to trace the reasons why their content isn't reaching the intended audience.

Buterin added that four weeks might be overly ambitious, noting that frequent algorithm changes could complicate achieving this goal, and suggested a one-year timeline for a fully transparent system.

Community interactions revealed the challenges in balancing openness with usability. The blockchain researcher Zack XPB called for less sensitive feedback, noting that interacting with posts outside one's usual interest circle floods 'For You' recommendations with similar content, leading to an overcrowding of posts from followed accounts.
