In the world of cryptocurrencies, supply and demand control mechanisms play an important role in shaping the value of tokens. One such mechanism that has been highlighted is how Pump.fun manages token issuance and liquidity pools, indirectly affecting the circulating supply of SOL.

Recently, a Pump. fun co-founder shared on X that burning liquidity pools and
the meaning of liquidity pool burning: when a #token leaves Pump. fun, the original liquidity on #Raydium burns. This means that the Liquidity Provider (LP) token is sent to an address where it is no longer available, and the liquidity in the trading pool is permanently blocked
SOL: a minimum price is set on the token, and a certain amount of #SOL in the pool is blocked. SOL_BREAK. This SOL is required for trading but cannot be revoked, effectively removing it from Solana's active offering.
Inactive pools: many liquidity pools lose activity over time and become inactive. Some SOLs are still in these pools but cannot be withdrawn, effectively excluding them from the active SOL offering.
