France Cracks Down on Unlicensed Crypto Firms Ahead of MiCA Deadline
$BTC | $DASH | $XMR The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), France's financial regulator, has issued a stern warning to approximately 90 crypto companies operating in the country without a license under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. These companies are registered in France but have yet to obtain authorization, and the AMF is urging them to comply before the June 30, 2026, deadline. Failure to do so will result in forced cessation of operations starting July 1, 2026. The AMF has reported that about 40% of the unlicensed firms have expressed no intention of seeking a MiCA license, while another 30% have not responded to the regulator's inquiries. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has emphasized the importance of having an "orderly wind-down" plan in place for companies that fail to obtain a license. Companies like CoinShares and Relai have already secured MiCA licenses in France, demonstrating that compliance is possible for those willing to adhere to the regulations. #MarketRebound | #BTC100kNext? | #StrategyBTCPurchase | #USDemocraticPartyBlueVault | #CPIWatch
